I followed your settings (.180 for depth and 450 for height), and the first carving I did of my Mother and Dad's 50th came out great. Really looks better than I could have imagined. Thanks for the tips.
I tried to do another carving of my
German Shepherd, and I used the same settings as your article suggest (.180 and 450). The picture of Waco turned out great ... I used the Corian material that I purchased from CarveWright.

Good morning. You have an awesome site.

Jason –
This Friday we will use the candelabra which you so graciously engraved for our congregation last November. So my thoughts went back to you and our conversations we had together.
I have attached a file to this e-mail so that you may know the message that will be included in the Good Friday service folder that will be used for the services and what we will place in our Easter Sunday Bulletin at Christ Lutheran Church, Peoria.
I will do my best to get a picture of the candelabra as it will be on the Altar on Good Friday and send you a copy via e-mail. If you would like to join us in our Good Friday service, the following is the schedule:
We will extinguish the candles one by one in the course of the services as well as the house lights in the church. The service is called “Tenebrae” and is a service of darkness since the lights gradually are turned off and at the close of the service, every one leaves the darkened church in silence, meditating on the meaning of the suffering and death of Jesus, our Savior.
You are welcome to attend either of the services. ... Again, we thank you for your kindness for engraving the Candelabra with the words “It is Finished.” It will be a meaningful addition to our service.
